The VMM BREATH Intensive Teacher Certificate is a 22-Day immersive group training, and is a foundational teaching of the revolutionary VMM Vocal Mastery Method, and our 3-Ring System. This is also the first step in becoming a VMM Certified Teacher. In the VMM BREATH Intensive Teacher Certificate you will learn the VMM Breath designed to help singers finally access full diaphragmatic breathing through coordination, awareness, and targeted muscle development. You will also be trained on how to teach the VMM Breath to your students.
This is not generic “take a deep breath” instruction.
This is breath training that actually changes the way you breath
and will provide the foundation for you
to change your ability to sing.

VMM Breath Intensive Teacher Certificate
A 22-Day Intensive focused exclusively on learning the VMM Breath. Across 4 LIVE Virtual Intensive Sessions, Teachers learn diaphragmatic breath development, conditioning & coordination, which helps them gain the skills to develop and increase their vocal stamina, and then are trained on how to teach others to do the same.
* Learn the VMM Breath through a series of exercises, processes and practice in a LIVE Virtual Setting from the comfort of your own home, studio or classroom and receive group instruction and individual attention.
* Assess where you are at and measure your progress throughout the course and have the ability to measure your progress moving forward, after the course.

* Make progress, and receive your VMM BREATH Intensive Teacher's Certificate
Why 22-Days?
Using the methods we teach, and because we are training your breath muscles, it takes around 3 weeks (21 days) to start to see real change in your abilities. Unfortunately, muscles do not grow over night, it requires practice, repetition, conditioning in order to see results. 3 weeks is the sweet spot for those willing to put in daily work on building these skills and muscles.
If you put in the work, you will see results. It's science, not hope.
Group Environment
We at VMM are only interested in creating group program learning when it will still have the same deep value as if you were in a 1-1 experience. Since this program is focused solely on breath training, and has the space for individual attention built in, we are excited to be able to offer this to small groups and share the incredible value the VMM Breath training has afforded our VMM Singers & Artists.

VMM Breath
This is the first step for all students of the VMM Vocal Mastery Method, and a foundational training; it is also the missing piece for so many singers. Learning how to breath deeply will give you the ability to do more with your voice.
The VMM Breath is a mindfully developed process that teaches Singers & Artists how to:
* Activate and strengthen the correct breathing muscles
* Coordinate breath and body correctly
* Build sustainable breath strength and control
* Learn how to maximize your potential inhale with the VMM Breath
Singers learn how to work with the body, creating stability, stamina, and consistency in their singing, and eventually freedom.
Having a platform of breath support underneath you while you’re singing then allows you to have the freedom to truly be artistic and decide how you want to sing that phrase, vs your musical ideas being subject to your limitations.
The VMM BREATH Intensive is the first step to mastering your breath.
VMM Breath Training
* Learn the VMM Breath through a series of exercises, processes and practice in a LIVE Virtual Setting from the comfort of your own home and receive group instruction and individual attention.
* Assess where you are at and measure your progress throughout the course and have the ability to measure your progress moving forward, after the course.
* We will give you achievable short term goals and then long term goals for you to work towards achieving after the Intensive, or in your private VMM Vocal Coaching.
Our goal is for you to have measurable results. So please only register if you have the time to dedicate to regular practice between Intensive Sessions.
Requirements for Registration
In the VMM BREATH Intensive Teacher Certificate training, we only accept vocal coaches, voice teachers, serious professional singers who are ready to begin their teaching career, music teachers who teach singers or choir, or acting or public speaking coaches.
In order to receive your certification, you must be able to demonstrate growth using the VMM Breath. So make sure when you register that you are going to have time to practice for at least 4 days in between the Intensive Session days for the entire 22-Days. In other words, be prepared to practice consistently.
Our Practice Expectations & Commitment:
Practice at least 15 - 30 mins, 4-5 times a week, for the full 22-Days
+ Plus the Intensive Sessions
+ Plus prepping to Teach the VMM Breath during the 3rd Intensive Session
+ Plus submitting a video of you teaching the VMM Breath to a student, submitted to us before the final Intensive Session
You must be prepared to sing one song for the program, any genre, but ideally at your level of difficulty.
For the 3rd Intensive Session, you will be asked to have a voice student or a willing participant to teach the VMM Breath to. This person needs to be able bodied enough to get up and down from the floor. We will give you all the details for which day this is, when you click through to registration, which will show you all the dates/times for the Intensive. You can use the same student/participant to film your teaching the VMM Breath independently, but it's better practice to ask another student or participant who is unfamiliar with the process, as it better demonstrates your ability to teach them.

Our VMM BREATH Intensive training is designed for bodies that have gone through puberty (12/13 years and up), and of course adults. So if you are primarily teaching little kids, this will not be relevant for your work.

However, this noticeable improvement depends on your practice between Intensive Sessions. The amount of practice you are willing/able to put in during this Intensive will be indicative of the amount of change you notice.
In our VMM BREATH Intensive Teacher's Certificate you will be required to demonstrate the success of your work, the improvement you experience from applying the VMM Breath and VMM techniques, in order to be awarded your certificate. In order to teach the VMM Breath effectively, you must embody the technique first, to be able to effectively pass it on. We believe very much in embodiment as a Teaching strategy, so that you can effectively be the living example to your students, and be able to easily demonstrate for them what you're asking them to achieve.
Plus embodying the skills you endeavour to pass on, means you can always problem solve in the moment, by investigating your own process to best solve the issues a student may be having.

You can also put your challenges into the VMM Online Community that's built just for our VMM Teachers taking the VMM BREATH Intensive and we will be addressing questions there as well.

No false promises here
We cannot and would not guarantee that this Intensive will ensure that you are able to sing using only your diaphragmatic support. No program can guarantee this, since the practice of learning how to truly only rely on your diaphragmatic support to sing takes many years, as it is a trust exercise in letting go all of the other support systems you were using first. It is impossible to predict when a singer is ready to have a breakthrough of this nature.
Our VMM BREATH Intensive will explain how to achieve the skill of singing using your diaphragmatic support alone, and get you practicing these skills through our VMM exercises, but the degree to which you allow your diaphragm to actually support your voice for you, is dependent on your willingness and readiness to let go of other forms of support that you have been relying on up to this point. We will cover this fully in the Intensive;)
